Refund and Returns Policy

Scenarios which are considered reasons for a return/refund: If you have received products with a best before date less than two months (we show the best before dates on the product pages as they are approaching two months shelf life) we will collect your order and replace it with new stock or pay you a refund for the items which need to be returned. If you are not happy to keep products with more than two months before the best before date, you will be responsible for paying for the shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If any of the units are damaged in a box, whether it be due to the shipping process or defective packaging we would prefer to ship you replacement units in your next order rather than return the full box and send a you another box in place of it. This is determined case by case.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. If a item is damaged or a item has less than 60 days before the best before date is reached we will offer either a refund or an exchange.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. A refund will be paid to your nominated bank account less the transaction charges if your payment was made through a payment facility for credit cards, or QR scanning apps. Direct bank EFT payments are refunded in full. In the case of an exchange, the new products will be shipped to the address you have given us previously.

In the case of a cancelled order, we will pay a refund to the nominated bank account. Payments which are made to Maurten ZA PTY LTD by direct bank transfer into our Bank Account will be refunded the full amount. Payments that are made to Maurten ZA PTY LTD via a third party payment providers which are available on maurtenfuel.co.za will be refunded the amount less the transaction charges charged by the payment provider.

Returns/Swaps

We only replace products if they are damaged, or if the best before date is less than 60 days, from the date of purchase. We do not offer free exchanges after your order has been shipped, so if you have ordered the incorrect products, send us an email at connect@maurtenfuel.co.za as quickly as possible so we can try correct your order before it is shipped. Failing this, we can exchange your products if you are willing to pay to ship your items back to our warehouse. See below for shipping returns.

Refunds

If you have a problem with our products, please send us an email with an explanation of the problem so that we can assess the validity of a refund. If we agree to refund your purchase please follow the steps below to ship the product back to our warehouse.

Cancelled Order Refund

If you have paid for an order, and have had a change of mind, email us immediately and notify us so we can stop the order from being shipped. Depending on the time of day we have orders packed within minutes of the order being paid for. A refund will be paid to your nominated bank account less the transaction charges if your payment was made through a payment facility for credit cards, or QR scanning apps. Direct bank EFT payments are refunded in full.

Important Notes

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Next contact your bank. There may be an extraordinary delay for processing time between banks.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Shipping Locations

Exchanges are only permitted for locations within South Africa. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
